Calcium Sulphate – Gypsum (25kg)
Calcium Sulphate, also known as Gypsum, is a method of treating brewing water with a salt additive to raise the mineral levels, thus achieving the desired characteristics in the beer. By introducing sulphate, it imparts a dry and bitter effect while also improving the mouthfeel. Moreover, Gypsum aids in mitigating the extraction of undesirable silicates, tannins, and polyphenols during the brewing process.
Calcium Sulphate [Gypsum] reduces the pH during mashing and wort boiling which improves enzyme activity and reduces the risk of infection.
